Baslow Choir is one of the leading mixed choirs in North Derbyshire and is based in the beautiful Peak District National Park. We are always looking for new members (especially tenors!) and are a friendly bunch. Please come along to one of our rehearsals.
An annual (1 Sep to 31 Aug) membership fee of £20 covers the cost of speakers/refreshments and is available to everyone aged 18 and over
Non-members are very welcome for a charge of £5 per talk
Baslow Garden Society have been organising winter talks and summer outings for over 45 years. The talks cover mainly garden issues, but some have historical or general themes. Outdoor events have ranged from visits to members’ gardens to a trip to the Prince of Wales’ Garden at Highgrove. The society also supports an allotment group. Visitors and new members are always welcome.
At Baslow Senior Citizen’s Club we cater for "over sixties" and meet fortnightly in the Village Hall on Friday afternoons. We enjoy a variety of good speakers and entertainment and always finish with a very good tea. There are four outings each year usually by coach. We are a friendly group and welcome visitors. We have a healthy membership approaching 70 and subscriptions are a modest £15 p.a. New Members Welcome.

The WI is the largest women's organisation in the UK with over 212,000 members. Nationally, we aim to offer women the best opportunity to make an impact in their community, to influence local, national and world issues affecting the social, economic, and environmental lives of our families and communities and to learn new and traditional skills.
At Baslow WI we meet eleven times a year - we have a speaker or demonstration, followed by time for members to socialise and of course share tea and cake! In addition to these regular meetings, we have many outside interests; active crafts, cycling, lunch and walking groups, outings to places of interest and we support WI events around Derbyshire. WI Social Afternoons ‘WISA’ are proving very popular.
Baslow WI is active on social media and has a constantly updated website with full information regarding all our activities. Visitors are always welcome.
